Delaine McCullough is the Shipping Emissions Policy Manager on Ocean Conservancy’s Arctic team. Prior to joining OC, she worked with international and U.S.-based organizations on environmental and social/economic justice issues. Most recently she headed an initiative focused on climate change finance, collaborating with civil society advocates in Asia and Africa to ensure that public money is used to meet the needs of the people and communities facing the greatest climate risks. Growing up in the wilds of the New Jersey suburbs, she has been escaping to the shore—Jersey and beyond—since childhood. She is in awe of the ocean’s power, expansiveness, dynamism, and mystery and tries to connect with these forces whenever she can.
