Olivia is a Senior Climate Policy Specialist working to ensure that ocean-based climate solutions equitably address climate challenges faced by under-resourced, frontline communities living in coastal areas. She leads Ocean Conservancy’s Justice40

Olivia was born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where she spent summers exploring the shore of Lake Michigan. She studied Conservation Biology and Afro-American Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and ultimately hopes to leverage her expertise in both environmental justice and conservation to protect coastal ecosystems in ways that deliver benefits to communities most impacted by climate change.

In her spare time, Olivia loves watching Planet Earth (and Blue Planet of course) and exploring Maryland’s coastal wetlands.
