Patricia (Patty) Chambers is Arctic Digital Manager for Ocean Conservancy and specializes in visual communications, informatics, photography, graphic design and user-interface (UI) designs.

Born and raised on the shores of the Salish Sea, Patty has nurtured a life-long love and respect for the ocean as a conservation science designer and outreach specialist, sailor, photojournalist and former research diver.

She has worked in the non-profit conservation sector since 2000 and on Arctic-related issues since 2010 with The Pew Charitable Trusts, the San Francisco Estuary Institute, and Washington State’s Shared Salmon Strategy.  She produced a coffee table book in partnership with Skagit Land Trust called, Natural Skagit: A Journey from Mountains to Sea, which includes essays from internationally renowned author Tom Robbins and Pulitzer-Prize winning journalist Bill Dietrich.

Patty has a bachelor’s degree in English literature and photo journalism from The Evergreen State College and studied abroad at University College Galway, Ireland. She lives in Bellingham, WA and plays Irish folk music with Lindsay Street band.
